TOM/Ayourk BBS Client Manual

Welcome to TABBS

Welcome to the TOM/Ayourk BBS Client. The TOM/Ayourk BBS client version 2.16 is the culmination of 11 years of combined experience in client/server programming. Version 2.16 has been in the works since late 1999, and has taken over 2 years to complete because of its intense testing, a ton of new features, and well, TOM and Ayourk have lives. :) There has been 1 pubically released beta of this program and several private ones. TOM and Ayourk are pleased and proud to present this final version to you.

Introduction

The TOM/Ayourk BBS Client is a "middleman" between you and a BBS. It provides features not normally available on the BBS and takes some load off the BBS by doing some of the BBS's work. Unlike some other BBS clients, the TOM/Ayourk BBS Client is specifically designed to aid users in connecting to a wide vareity of BBSes on the internet.

If you have problems or questions that cannot be solved using this manual, please contact TOM or Ayourk. See above for contact information.

Note that just because you ask Ayourk a question doesn't mean Ayourk will respond. Sometimes, Ayourk will give information to TOM, and he will respond. The reverse is also true.

Suggesting New Features

Contact either TOM or Ayourk with your suggestions. Don't worry if you don't get a response. Usually, we try to respond to all suggestions, but on occaision, we're very busy, and cannot find the time to send an immediate response. If you don't receive an acknowledgement of your suggestion in a week or two, try contacting the other author with the suggestion.
